We’re pleased to share that MedDream by Softneta has officially completed a strategic transaction and is now part of a group of healthcare IT companies within the portfolio of funds advised by investor Bregal Unternehmerkapital. With this transaction, Practica Capital has successfully exited its investment in Softneta.
As part of this transaction, MedDream has spun off from Softneta UAB to form MedDream UAB. This transition allows MedDream to operate as a more focused and agile entity, better positioned to deliver its universal medical zero-footprint viewer across a wide range of medical specialties. Taking this pivotal step will enhance MedDream’s ability to innovate and meet the specific needs of its clients more effectively.
“We are excited about this new chapter in the MedDream journey,” says Tomas Dumbliauskas, MedDream CEO. “This collaboration empowers us to provide universal access to medical imaging and intelligence in the global healthcare market.”
“Our strategic partners bring a wealth of experience and resources that will help us scale rapidly,” added Asta Pranckevičiūtė, Chief Legal & Finance Officer of MedDream. “We will continue to focus on our core mission of delivering a high-performance enterprise viewer and driving even more value for our customers, OEM vendors, and distributors.”
MedDream solutions are currently integrated by more than 500 partners worldwide, and the company is poised to further develop its offerings in the international OEM market.
The MedDream Viewer, certified as a Class IIB medical device under the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and FDA-cleared for diagnostic use, will continue to uphold its rigorous quality and safety standards under the new structure. These certifications, along with many more for other countries, underline MedDream’s commitment to providing trusted, reliable solutions to healthcare providers worldwide.
With the completion of this transaction, MedDream is set to drive future innovation and extend its impact in the medical imaging field.
